Please take a moment to read the instructions and information below before signing up to volunteer at Texas SandFest.

If you received a password please enter it before you select a job or enter your information. Password box is just below Important Dates.

Instructions:

1. Select the job of your choice and the available days and shifts will show (please note some jobs have age requirements and/or require a valid driver's license).  If you would like to see a brief description of the job, click on "description" next to the time, for additional information on a particular job please email the volunteer coordinator.  If a particular job does not appear it has been filled.

2. Click on the check box next to the date/time of the shift you would like to work.  You may select multiple jobs, days & shifts.  If a particular day and/or time does not appear, it means that day or shift has been filled.

3. Once you have selected all your shifts please complete your information and read and sign the waiver. Those under 18 will need a parent or guardian to complete and sign the waiver section  Please make sure your phone number and email are correct as these are the ways you will be contacted. 

4. If you selected any job with (21+ & DL) or (Medical Certification) after the job title,  you will be required to provide additional information,  upload the appropriate documentation, and verify your age.

Port Aransas ISD students may NOT volunteer during regular school hours!

21+ = Must be 21 or older

DL = Must have a valid driver's license 

Information you should be aware of before signing up to volunteer at Texas SandFest:

  • The minimum age to volunteer is 14.

  • This event is OUTSIDE and almost all jobs will be in the sun and elements, including but not limited to heat, wind & rain.

  • The majority of jobs require standing and/or walking for most of the shift.

  • Most shifts are about 5.5  hours

  • Some jobs require lifting and moving various items, please check the job description.

  • While we will do everything in our power to place you in the job you signed up for, there may be instances where we will need to assign you to a different job or task.

  • Additional information, including where to report to and what to expect will be emailed about 5 days before your scheduled shift(s).

If you do not receive a confirmation email within 1 hour of signing up please email the Volunteer Coordinator.

As a special thank you to those volunteers who sign up and work 3 or more shifts during Texas SandFest, you will be automatically entered for a chance to win a  Shibumi Shade ($270.00 value)  Terms & conditions: 1. Only open to those who are 18 and older. 2. Sign up online for 3 or more shifts AND work those 3 or more full shifts during Texas SandFest on April 19 - 21, 2024.  3. Check in AND check out at the Volunteer Welcome area for each shift worked. 4. Winner will be drawn by 4/28/2024.

If you are a high school student not attending Port Aransas ISD  or are homeschooled please email the Volunteer Coordinator for information.

The following ONLY applies to current Port Aransas ISD students.                                                           Marlins please note there are some changes for this year.  Marlins may only select days/shifts under the two jobs listed as "Marlins ONLY!"   When you sign up you will still select day(s) and shift(s) to volunteer as in the past BUT you will no longer select specific jobs as these will be assigned to you after checking in for your volunteer shift(s).
